Microsoft engaged Infusion to develop an application that could showcase the unique, interactive capabilities of Silverlight and demonstrate its potential in the financial services industry.  In response, Infusion’s Silverlight development team created the Woodgrove Online Banking application.

The Woodgrove Online Banking application delivers users a “360ᵒ view” of their financial status and provides a look at the future of personal banking on the internet.  Users are able to securely fill in various pieces of personal financial and banking information in order to perform activities such as:

• Review existing accounts and balances
• View stock and mutual fund portfolios
• Apply for financial products
• Submit bill payments
• Create a retirement plan
• View videos and other media with banking advice and information

In addition to interacting with the Silverlight application individually, guided by a financial planner, or over the phone with a banking representative, users are able to communicate live with bank personnel online via a built-in instant messenger.

The Woodgrove Online Banking Demonstration received a Microsoft award for Banking Innovation and has established Infusion as Silverlight specialists within Microsoft and in the wider technology community.  The system can be viewed at: http://bankdemo.infusion.com.
