Infusion was selected to work in close partnership with the City of Lethbridge to support their efforts in the development of a comprehensive plan to modernize the web services channel for both corporate and public audiences. Infusion also ensured that the City had the governance, training, processes and procedures required so that both the business and IT units of Lethbridge could support the ongoing operations of the web platforms.
Infusion leveraged Microsoft’s Citizen Service Platform (CSP) model, based on SharePoint 2010, to help the City of Lethbridge modernize its web platform. The Microsoft CSP has been leveraged by government agencies around the world to provide a framework under which the best public sector solutions in the world work in harmony. The City’s internet portal, based on the Microsoft Citizen Service Platform, now enables citizens to turn to the website first when seeking out information and services from the city.
In addition to the improved ease and responsiveness of obtaining information and services via the new portal, positioning the web channel as an efficient point of interaction has yielded financial savings for the City. Citizens now know that they are receiving world-class services, which has led to greater confidence that their municipal tax dollars are being well spent.
